Codex 2013 International Book Fair Comes to the Craneway
Hey artist’s book lovers! Just thought I’d give you a heads up that the Codex International Book Fair is right around the corner! If you’ve never been to Codex, the fair hosts one of the largest exhibitions of artist’s books and fine press treasures in the world, all under one easy to access roof! This year, the fair will welcome hundreds of small presses, artists, and academics to the Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, CA. The festivities kick off Sunday February 10th from 11 am – 3 pm, continues Monday and Tuesday (12:30 pm – 6:00 pm) and ends Wednesday (11:00 am – 4 pm). Sadly, the symposium which features talks on everything from “papermaking at 100 sheets per hour” to “good reasons to think with metal type” has already sold out. Still, with four solid days to catch the exhibition itself, there is little excuse not to go! See you there!
